WEI FTP Upload Site

Overview
This screen contains a link to and instructions for using the WEI FTP upload site. The main purpose of the FTP site is to provide a mechanism to transfer large or executable files that are not easily transferred or may be stripped by email providers. WEI recommends use of the FTP site for file transfers larger than 5 MB.

File Type
Only Secured files can be uploaded to the WEI FTP site. Secured files are defined as those files which are uploaded by persons/companies who have the appropriate permissions. A username and password assigned by WEI personnel are required to upload any file to the FTP site. If you need to upload a file and do not have a username and password, please call 208-359-5353 for assistance.

Upload Procedure
The following demonstrates how to upload a file to the FTP site. This example assumes that a single zip file "TEST.zip" is being uploaded. NOTE: Although the interface does allow uploading of multiple files, for simplicity WEI recommends creating and uploading a single zip file.

1. Click this link to go to the FTP login page.

2. Enter your username and password. For this example, we use "upload" and "WEI", respectively. NOTE: The username and password are case sensitive.

3. Click the "Login!" button.

4. On the virtual folder screen, click the word "Uploads" in the "Virtual Folder" column (do not click the folder icon).

5. On the upload screen, click the "uploadfile" icon. NOTE: The two other icons, "deletefile" and "createdir", are generally not used. If needed, WEI will provide special instructions via email.

6. At the "Upload a file" screen, enter a brief description of the file, select the "send an email alert to all the authorized users" check box, and click the "Browse..." button.

7. After selecting the file to upload, click the "Upload" button. The file will be uploaded to the FTP site and WEI will be notified.
